My BNI Story

Through my business as a workshop facilitator, I use principles of improvisation and laughter to help employees enhance their communication, creativity, leadership, and team collaboration skills. When I first joined BNI, I was skeptical how I would receive referrals for my business and gain value from my membership.

However, I am proud to say that 40% of my business comes from BNI. I am fortunate to be a member of a terrific chapter that has helped me achieve my business goals.  I have paid for my BNI membership many times over and have passed over $11,000 in closed business. Not only have I gained value from my own chapter, but I have taken advantage of connecting with members from other chapters in the Western Massachusetts region and beyond.

To give you an example of the power of BNI, I recently visited a chapter in the Hartford, CT area.  Before I attended the chapter meeting, I researched its membership and found there was a member who worked for a non-profit organization.  I focused my Sales Manager's Minute on my desire to be introduced to someone from that organization.   At the meeting, I did my Sales Manager Minute, and that member happened to know the person I wanted to be introduced to. He gave me the referral on the spot. That referral not only resulted in closed business but repeat business with that organization.
